My ships

Following, I present you my ships off with a brief description. On the link "Click Here" You come then to the corresponding screen material. Maybe I can inspire one or the other so Hanes hobby. Would be happy.

Il Leudo in construction

The origin of the Leudo is rather uncertain. According to suppositions probably having a content of truth, the type of ship used a kind of medieval ship developed with two masts tilted towards the bow with lateen sails. Later it was replaced by a mast with jib and boom, so that the maneuvers were easier. The hull has a characteristic egg shape with very good bad weather conditions, partially better than stronger hulls. The charge consisted mainly of general cargo as agricultural tools, handicraft products and woven goods which were transpotiert on the Mediterranean Sea. click here

A 1880 built Finkenwerder fishing boat. This guy was at home in the whole North Sea coast and up to Scandinavia. One of his specialties was the plaice caught. Also famous is the typical dish "Finkenwerder clods with bacon". This type of ship was still running very well even in rough seas. click here

Charles W. Morgan

The lezte old whaling went in 1841 in Bedford, Massachusetts from the stack. The price of the ship amounted to $ 52,000.00. The ship made 37 trips across the world's oceans and brought the owners a $ 1,400,000.00. The crew consisted of the captain, 5 officers and 45 men. The data of the Charles W. Morgan are: length 106.6 feet (32,49m), width 27.3 feet (8,32m) and draft of 17.6 feet (5,35m). Accurate and very interesting details, contact here at Wikipedia. Cutty Sark  in construction

A 1869-built English tea and wool clipper. This ship was 88 years at sea before it came into specially built dry dock as a museum ship in 1957. The Cutty Sark has a very eventful life behind. She drove only under enlischer flag, was sold and then the Portuguese flag, changed hands several times your name and the rig. Gladys

The Gladys is a Canadian fishing schooner. If the big fish heat off Newfoundland were there it was possible to be the first, landed the fish. As a result, you could get the best prices. Therefore, the ship has received a very slim fast form. One can assume that this hull form is the predecessor of our modern sailing yachts. Mercedes

A 1820 built latina ship the group of feluccas. The Mercedes was built in Spain and also ran under the Spanish flag. Harvey planned for 2016

The Harvey is a Baltimore Clipper built the 1847th. This model was built mainly moment during the American Revolutionary War. Later, these ships were equipped with cannons. The Clipper were first used against the British coast guard vessels and later against the slave trade.
